1 YR HS done- May 19, 2014

It's Graduation Week!  Can you believe you have been done with High School one year now?  That's scary to me!  Dennis Anderson's photo.Tonight we are going to attend Seminary Graduation.  Chelsie and Ali Photo: Southwest Dance Company presents "Kokopelli's Gift". A children's dance concert May 30th & 31st 6:30 @ Desert Hills High School.Photo: This fun girl is going to the State Track Meet!!!are graduating.  Then later this week to PV & SCHS graduations!

This week has been ball practices and games on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday.  Tuesday they had a clinic with an Olympic Softball player and it seemed really cool. I had Leavitt Grandparents lined up to take them clear out to the Little Valley Fields since Dad & I were both at work.  When they got there no one else was there either!  Darn the clinic was at the Canyons Ball Park-closer to our house!!! They got there for the last 25 minutes and that was with a few word from Grandpa.  ugh!  This week in ball Lainee played catch for the 1st time this season and did pretty good at it.  Photo: Lil Lainee catcher!Lexie pitched most of the game and struck out 4 opposing team members!  It was great as they were trash talking her under-experienced team mates!  No, they didn't win but Lex gave them some good pitches!

Weds was filled with Violin lessons and a YW swim party at the Erickson's (who have moved into the Brackens home and I snagged the mom for our Beehive teacher!).  Later that night Kiera went to the HS for the a with Chelsie and Cassie.  She said it was more like a dangerous mosh pit with paint spraying all over!  She came home a colorful mess!  She didn't sleep well that night at she had a migraine that lasted through the night.  Kept her away from school for Thursday even after I had taken her to Dr. Ty Williams (who says Hello to you!)  We even took her back later Thursday to get her feeling better.  She really wanted to go and sing in the Missionary Choir Fireside but she was only well enough to sing a little bit and sat and listened to the rest.  Aunt Seana came with Grandma Peggy and they enjoyed the songs and the spirit.

However, she did feel well enough to go on a very long skimboarding date with Ben on Friday.  But she is not so hot today.  hhhmmmm....  I did 2 sets of lashes and Lexie went with Baileys family down to Las Vegas to swim and shop.  So for a while it was too quite with just dad, me & Lainee here!

Saturday I had to go into work so I biked in.  I took the Mongoose.  It rode okay.  I do not like the seat.  2 bike shop guys suggested that I stay off of Sunset and Bluff and ride up past SCHS on the small bike trail, turning past Farnsworths house and to the Pioneer Parkway bike trail about where Brian & Becky used to live.  Then crossed Bluff, hit bike trail to Diagonal then over a block to work.  So I did.  It think it took me out higher and it took me almost 20 minutes longer to travel that way to work than it did with us last year!  Coming home I went down neighborhood streets into Dixie Downs area and came out on Tuweep Drive then having to hit the steepest part of the Dean Terry dip of Sunset Dr/Santa Clara Drive.  Better.    However, I think if I am up early enough taking the straight route is better and the traffic isn't too bad that early.

Later that day we went to the Womens Expo and Lainee & Kiera got a strip of colored hair extensions for fun.
This morning was the last day of reading for the YW in the Thomas S Monson biography.  I had the girls all write on a post it note "I finished!  and name"  and I secretly got into Bishop Parry's office (by help of his counselor) and placed them all on his desk!  I hope he enjoyed that fun surprise!

OK, seriously I was having far too much fun FB stalking!  Hope you get to see the pics!
This weekend was State Playoffs.  Sorry I don't know how SC did at BYU.  But Rugby girls and boys took state.  From our ward played Devin Cook, Connor Parry, Lauren Mitchell & Lindsay Heaton.  Snow Canyon High School Rugby's photo.

Connor is being set apart an Elder today to start his mission on June 17th.  2 more families were read into our ward today.

Last night some teens were driving around the new airport and rolled a car.  A SCHS Sr. was killed.  Looks like he was a friend of Mitchell McInnis as he posted a pic of he and Brooks Johnson.  You always hear stories about people loosing their best friends. But you never know how real it is till it's your own. Heaven gained mine last night. Ill never forget the times we had brooks. You're the best brother anyone could ask for. And the things I'd give up to give you one last hug. I love you more than anything Brooksie. Rest in paradise brother ?
Both Tommy & Kelsey are back in town for a bit.  Tommy is going to work up on some ranch on Cedar Mt and live in the cabin.  I think Kelsey is going to stick around here.

PhotoPhoto: Mother's Day was truly wonderful here! Megan made me a beautiful breakfast & gave me presents straight from the heart like a little scrapbook of fun times we've had together. Then we got to be together with Zack via Skype for an hour or so! I love being their mom! I also want to say thanks to everyone who has helped me raise my kids so far: all of their teachers, YW/YM leaders, family, & friends who feel like family. I love you all & couldn't have done it without your help!Natalie ParkinsonPhoto: #becauseofhim i get to call these crazy little people my family and I am so grateful they are forever! HAPPY EASTER

Andressa is the big 20 today!
Tuesday Lexie MIGHT get her braces off.....we'll see!!!
Tuesday we are going to have dessert with Don & Peggy Pierce a.k.a. Elder Mitchell Rondfelt's grandparents!!!  Is there anything he would like me to tell them?  Anything that I can talk to them special about?  Anything you want me to tell them about Elder R?  Any good stories to share?

I hope you have enjoyed this email.  It kept me occupied most of this Sunday! I should have done other things too but it was so fun to share with you!!!

Love you and have an awesome week my son!!!

Mom

Thank you so much for all of the pictures, I love getting pictures and sent how everyone is doing.  It surprises me to that it was just a year ago that I graduated from high school.  And I can't believe that Ali and Chelsea are graduating this week.  The softball games look like a lot of fun and both Lexie and Lainee seem to be doing really well. I hope that Kiera gets feeling better soon, and I am glad to hear that she is still having fun with get friends.  I didn't have time today but I will work on writing Kiera a letter during the week and send it to her next Monday.  I'm glad to hear that the mongoose is still running pretty well. Were you getting I fixed or getting a new bike seat for it when you were talking to he bike shop guys?  You can also change off the seat from your bike and put it on here if you wanted. That's great that you read through Thomas S Monson biography.  I want to read through that hen I get off of my mission.  I can't believe how much tragedy that Snow Canyon has each year, it is so sad to see and hear about it.  Hats when the plan of salvation comes into play and gives you that peace and comfort from having that knowledge.  It's also cool to hear that 1/3 of graduates are leaving for missions this year.
Elder Ronfeldt says I tell his grandparents that he loves them and that he prays for their health to be better. He wants to take them fishing when he gets back. He would also like some family pictures from when they got together and did his great grandmothers temple work if they took any. He also asks them to see how Serra is doing and if they can ask her for her email because he doesn't know if she is getting them. Tell them to tell everyone he loves them! He also appreciates updates concerning his mother and family. Ask them about China and Cove Fort! Ask them about their stories growing up in Iowa. Ask about stories from England and Japan. Ask about the whole family. They will love to tell stories. — Elder Ronfeldt

I know that they enjoy playing card and board games.  This have been going pretty good with us serving together here.  Nothing else to exciting besides what I have sent home in the weekly emails.  You will have to let us know how it goes tomorrow.

Thanks for the pictures.  Michele is so sweet and I am glad to see that she is doing great.  I can't believe that Tajg is home already.  That will be me in a few more months. The missionary choir sounds like a fun thing to do.  That's awesome that Kiera was able to join in.
I have been using those oils and I am so glad that I have them. Elder Ronfeldt likes them a bunch too.  You could also talk to his grandparents about the Dr. Mom kit if you want.  Thank you so much for the oils, I'm glad that I have them.
