Dates Set!‏ - May 25, 2015

Dear Family and Friends,

This past week has been pretty good. I have really enjoyed it, and I have learned so much. On Tuesday, we had a zone conference where I got to see Elder Ronfeldt and Elder Ware again. I loved serving with them so much when they were my companions. I also got to see a bunch of other missionaries that I have become really good friends with.

Fun facts, and don't worry I'm safe. We missed a shooting by five minutes. At first, we saw about 3-4 cops, and we talked to an investigator for just a minute to set up an appointment for the next day. When we came back the next day, the house was empty and had an eviction notice on it. Anyways, we walked out of his apartment, and there were about 30 cops outside. No body got shot, but just someone shooting in the sketchy part of town. It happens quite often on that side of town.

We somehow were able to get 21 lessons this past week. I have no clue on how we did it, but hey, we are still working hard and doing our best. We did set two dates this week with a mother and daughter. Ckova and Christy. They are both so great. They came to church for the second time yesterday. We later found out from Christy's primary teacher, that during sharing time, she got up in front of the entire primary and bore her testimony on how she knows that the Book of Mormon is true. She told them on how she felt the Spirit after she prayed and asked if it was true. She is just amazing, and comprehends and retains everything so well. The only thing is that she doesn't turn 8 until July, so her date is set for July 18. I am praying that everything will be able to work out for this too work.

Nothing else too exciting that happened this week. Just a lot of walking and talking to crazy people on the street. Every now and then you'll find someone that is normal.

The church is true, and I love the Book of Mormon so much. I have been reading and studying some on the Atonement and Grace, and I just learn so much each day!

Love you all, and have a great week!

Love, Elder Leavitt

Re: Last days of school!‏ - May 25, 2015

Thanks for the fun family update! I love reading through it each week! I remember the emotions of leaving each school from elementary and lava ridge. It goes by way too fast, but I all in all, the change was a good thing.

I remember the fun days of doing the rocket launch and signing year books. Good stuff there!! That is awesome that you made Ben go home and make a graduation announcement just for you. You better be sure to keep it and scrapbook it! I'm glad that Ben is such a great kid, and I can't wait to get to know him some more.

Awe man, that is so great that you got a surprise visit from Uncle Morris and Belle. I hope that you got pictures and you'll have to send them to me!  I will continue to keep him and his family in my prayers that things may be able to work out for him!

That is so sad to hear that Sister Kitty Jones passed away! But at least she isn't in pain any longer. I hope that things will go well with her husband.

You'll have to show me when I get home how we are related to John Adams. That would be so cool to be able to trace that back to him. I have found a few random lines that take us all the way back to Adam and Eve. So that's pretty cool too.

I did go and buy some clothes for a Christmas, so I don't know if I have enough money on there at the moment. I do have enough cash at home in our apartment, but I don't like to carry that on me in my wallet. Especially in this area.

I love you tons! I am so grateful for all of the support that I have from back at home.

Love, Elder Leavitt

Caitlyn's Baptism!!!‏ - May 18, 2015

Dear Family and Friends!

I don't have too much time to write today, but I will be sure to get some pictures sent off from what we did this past week.

Sunday was the best day ever. Not only did we have six investigators at church, but it was Caitlyn's baptism and confirmation. Elder White was the one who baptized her, and everything went smoothly. Caitlyn is such an awesome person. On Saturday she told us that she was receive some opposition, but she was able to overcome by reading the scriptures and praying, and because she knew that this is what the Lord wanted her to do. In the thirty minutes between her baptism and being confirmed a member of the church, the Bishop came up to her and extended a calling to be on the activities committee. She is super excited about that. I was blessed to have the opportunity to be able to give her the Holy Ghost. It was such a great experience, and I am so happy about her decision to come closer to our Savior Jesus Christ by making these sacred covenants with him.

With those six investigators that came to church, each and everyone loved it so much. For three of them, it was their very first time ever coming. We will hopefully be setting some more baptismal dates pretty soon. As of right now we don't have any since Caitlyn was baptized.

Some other small highlights, we got caught in a rain storm just about ever day this past week. Summer is most definitely here. I love the lightning storms, except for those few times when we are in the very middle of them on our bikes. On Monday, we got hailed on, and it was pretty crazy how hard that it was coming down.

Sorry for the short email. I hope that everyone is doing great!! Love you all.

Sincerely,

Elder Leavitt

Re: quick questions for FHE today‏ - May 11, 2015

4- what is the most memorable service you have done w/Elder White
Just helping people move for the part. We have done about two or three moves together.

5- what has strengthened your testimony the most since going on your mission
I think seeing the power of God manifested through His Spirit in both the Priesthood and the answers to prayers. I can't tell you how much that I love being able to bless the lives of others with the Priesthood. Plus personal studying each morning. I just learn so much each day, I just wish that I could retain it all better.

8- are there any inside jokes on your mission
There aren't really any jokes in the mission that I can think of. But there is one with Elder White and I when two super cute girls came up to us and asked us if we wanted a drink since it was a hot day. We were hoping that they would come to the church, but they haven't showed up yet. Their names are Kathryn and Rachel, and we will probably never see them again, but that is one joke that we have. :D

10- what is your most favorite smell in the area and least favorite smell
Most of the time Florida stinks because you get the sulfur smell all of the time. In this area in particular. My favorite smell would have to be someone grilling on the BBQ. My least favorite would have to be the smell of beer and cigarettes. Sometimes weed too.

I'm with you on the journal writing. I haven't been that great on my mission, but I am tons better than I ever was at home when I would only write in it about once or twice a year.

I loved being able to see you yesterday, and I hope that you had a wonderful Mother's Day!!! I sure did being able to talk with you and the family.

That is so cool that you were able to go to the Payson temple as a family and with G&G Erdmann and Johanson's. I remember going to the Draper temple, and although I didn't really know too much about the temple at the time. I did feel different there. I think that it would be so cool to go to the temple open house again, especially since I understand a lot more of what is going on. But I have forgotten quite a bit, and still have lots to learn, but i can't wait!!!

I will be sure to spend some time with Kiera and Ben before he lives, and more time with her after he leaves, cause I know that that can be a hard thing to go through. I will also work on writing some letters for everyone in the family. That is something that I should be doing more of each week. I just need to make it more of a priority.

I can't tell you how much that it means to have such a great family supporting me while I am out here. I really don't think that I could do it if it wasn't for the way that you and dad raised me and taught me so many good qualities. Especially about personal and family prayer each night. Thank you for everything that you have done. Just being able to see you all last night has given me the drive to work my hardest with the little time that I have remaining left.

Love ya tons!!!

May the fourth be with you!‏ - May 4, 2015

Dear Family and Friends,

This week there really isn't too much to talk about, and I don't have a lot of time right now. One really amazing miracle that we had this week is with a recent convert and her family. She moved to a much better apartment than she was in before. As we were helping them move their belongings, we were talking to the husband and his friends. We ended up teaching them and they were all super interested in learning more. The husband came to church for the second Sunday in a row, and he just loves coming. He tells everyone that he is going to be there each week for no one. We are going to begin teaching him this next week, and I am really excited to start teaching him. He is from Jamaica and has a really cool and thick accent. So sometimes it is a bit hard to understand him.

Besides that, we spent a lot of time walking around and it has been a pretty trying week for us. I really didn't think that we were doing that great this week, but by the end of the week, we somehow managed to get over twenty lessons.

Caitlyn is still progressing really well and working towards her date on the 17th. She is super excited for that. She really has such a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon and that she can find answers through it.

Can't wait to talk to you this Sunday!!

Love you all!

Love, Elder Leavitt

Re: April Showers, bring May Flowers!‏ - May 4, 2015

As of right now, I think that we are planning on calling around 7pm, which would be about 5pm your time. I still want to Skype so that I can see all of your beautiful smiling faces.

I don't know when the Judd's will be traveling through, they left about 8-9 days ago. They should be passing through soon, and hopefully they will give you a call if they have time to stop by. They have a daughter that lives over by the mall somewhere.

Sadly, I don't think that I will be able to see Myron, especially since I am closer to the mission office and President Cusick. I really wish that I could visit with him though.  :(

I will try to work on Kiera's letter today and next monday and then send it off next week.

Thanks for all that you do. And I'm sorry that I don't have much time to write more at this moment.

with lots of luvs

-When are the Judds coming through town?  I don't want to miss them.

-Uncle Myron is in conference in Orlando this week.  IF by any chance he may try to see you.  Give him a number that he can contact you at.  He is probably 3 hours away from you so the chance is very slim as he probably doesn't have a car.  (he asked Ellie what she wanted from Florida when he returns, she said "Chase"!!)  (They probably wont be coming up for your homecoming as Martiza is due to have her baby anytime then.)-

-IF you have any moment or opportunity would you send me a letter that I can include for Kiera for Trek.  I need to have turn it in on the 17th. She is not particularly thrilled to go as she says she won't know anyone in her family (this is on the Stake level).  True, but you don't know anyone at all when you go on a mission. I believe this is good mini training for the future.

Missionary Departure‏ - May 4, 2015

Dear Elder and Sister Leavitt,
It is fast approaching that time when we have to start making preparations for your missionary's journey home. The departure date is set for July 21, 2015. In order to schedule flights at the best rates available, we need to have some information returned to us within 7 days.  Please let us know if you plan on picking your missionary up from the mission field or if your missionary will be flying home.  If your missionary is flying home, which is the closest large airport to your home?
Each missionary in the days preceding his/her departure will have a final interview with me. On the evening prior to departure we have the opportunity to have dinner with your missionary and a testimony meeting in the mission home with all departing missionaries.
Missionaries are released from service by their stake president upon returning home. This is usually by the Stake from which they were called unless the family has moved and their records are transferred to another stake and ward.
The Church encourages missionaries to travel directly home from their missions and discourages post-mission tours with parents. However, if parents choose to pick-up their missionary it should be noted that the missionary must be accompanied by one or both parents at all times and the travel time is limited to one or two weeks. Missionaries are not to impose on members, missionaries or other missions as they travel. During this time the missionary should maintain the standards for missionaries as outlined in the Missionary Handbook (dressing as a missionary) until released.
Missionaries traveling directly home will depart for the airport Tuesday morning. Missionaries traveling home with their parents should be picked up Tuesday morning, 10:00 am at the mission office.
As missionaries near the end of their service they should be at peak performance and able to make significant contributions to the work. Please help your missionary to keep focused and not become absorbed with returning home. This is a great concern because it affects both the work in the assigned proselyting area and companions who want to work hard. This problem can be exaggerated by well-meaning parents who continually comment on the excitement that they feel as they prepare for their missionary’s return home or who ask the missionary to make family travel arrangements. Please be sensitive to this and help your missionary serve in a focused,  right up to the date of release by minimizing distractions and excitement about things unrelated to missionary work.
And blessed are they who shall seek to bring forth my Zion at that day, for they shall have the gift and the power of the Holy Ghost; and if they endure unto the end, they shall be lifted up at the last day" 1 Nephi 13:37
Your wonderful support and dedication are so appreciated. The encouragement, prayers and continued reinforcement that you provide are an essential part of the growth and development that comes from full time missionary service.

Thank you for all you do. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
Mark D. Cusick, Mission President

Last Transfer before the Last Transfer!!!‏ - April 27, 2015

Dear Family and Friends!

This week has had plenty ups and downs from getting transfer emails, hitting twenty lessons, a lot of walking and using the bus, and another stolen bike.

For preparation day last week, we went and played soccer and football on the campus, and we had quite a good sized group of missionaries. It was a lot of fun, but we were all sore for the next few days afterwards. It wasn't much fun riding a bike or walking around. I also found out today that my bishop in St. Petersburg is now the Stake President. I am really excited for him and he is going to do such a fantastic job.

District meeting on Tuesday was really good. We had training on the spiritual gifts and talents that we each have. That is something that I have been studying about as I have been reading through my Patriarchal blessing. It's something that I want to work on, is just developing each skill that the Lord has given to me and using it to its fullest. I just loved teaching Caitlyn! Today we discussed the Word of Wisdom, and she sees the blessings from living it, as she hasn't had any problems with any of it. She has also been watching some of the General Conference talks with her friends, and she has awesome questions for us whenever we meet. We then walked Elder White's bike down to the bike shop to get it fixed. We have down a lot of walking and taking the bus this week. With both modes of transportation, it seems to take forever to go anywhere. We then went with a member to contact a few Church Headquarter referrals that wanted Bibles, and we gave out Book of Mormon's with each Bible we handed out.

We did quite a bit of street contacting on Wednesday because most of our appointments we had scheduled canceled on us. We did hand out a lot of Book of Mormons. We weren't really able to get any contact info though. In the evening, we did meet this one guy named Christopher that had a bunch of great questions for us. We probably talked with him for about 45 minutes. He is going to a different church right now, but he loved the things that we had to share with him. We ended up giving him a church tour on Friday. He is a really cool guy, and we are meeting with him again tonight to teach the Restoration. We also had another lesson with Caitlyn about tithing and fast offerings. The three members that were there all shared experiences of how they have been blessed from giving their tithing, or from receiving from the fast offerings.

Weekly planning on Thursday went much smoother and quicker than it normally does, and I was extremely grateful for that. Thursday wasn't the most exciting day, but we did have another awesome lesson about temples and family history with Caitlyn. She is doing so well right now. In the evening, we went and contacted a few more Bible referrals with a member. One guy was a Messianic Jew that taught us all about the Hebrew language. Some of the things he said were way off, but I think it would be cool to learn some of the Hebrew language more. We then went to the church and gave one of our investigators a blessing. It was really great, and we had a recent convert who joined in with us and shared his strong testimony that he has recently gained. I wish that all members have the same desire to share the gospel as much as these new members do. I just love seeing them express how much that it really means to them. We said bye to Elder and Sister Judd. They were the CES Institute teachers here and they are such great people. They are traveling home and said that they would try to stop by and say hi to my family. When you see them, tell them that I love them and miss them already!

We picked up Elder White's bike from the shop on Thursday, but Friday morning as we headed out the door, we found that it had a flat. So we ended up having to take the bus today, and we were late getting to our appointment. We are starting to figure out the bus system here in Tampa. We had some really great lessons with two recent converts. Sharelene and Brother Kelly. They are both such great people. Sharelene told us of how her friends want to meet with us because of the change that they see in her. So next week we will be meeting with them for the first time, and I am excited to see how it goes. We then came back home to have our studies since we didn't do it in the morning, and we also went to a BBQ in our complex and talked to a bunch of people there. It's been a long time since I have had grilled burgers, and it was really good.

On Saturday we headed downtown to the heart of Ybor city to visit with a few potentials that live down there. It was pretty sketchy, and I'm glad that we weren't there during the night. We did talk with two really cool teenagers, Cody and Wesley for about 45 minutes, then we toke the bus back to the church and with them and continued talking for another hour. We covered quite a few different topics with them, and they seem sincerely interested in learning more. They thought the way that we backed up what we said with Scripture was really cool, because other people that they haven't talked to have been able to do that for them. So we received our transfer emails Saturday night and Elder White and I are staying with each other for another transfer. I'm excited for that because there is some really great work just around the corner here.

Sunday was just a great day at church. We had four investigators that came today. It was really cool being about to meet Sharelene's husband for the first time, and he is such a nice guy. I think it was his first time coming to church too, but he seemed to really enjoy it, and he told me that he is planning on coming back every week. Today his daughter was blessed, so we were able to take part in that. It was really neat. After church was over, we had apartment inspections, and then we had a really great dinner and lesson with the William's family as we talked about all of the commandments and reviewing it with them. We came back to the church and found out that my bike lock had been cut and someone stole my back. I'm not too happy about that all. It's the second bike that I have had stolen from church property in the last three months. I am going to use a bike of a missionary that went home early until they send it home to him, and I am going to find a cheap bike to use for the last little bit. We did end the week on a good note by hitting our goal for the number of lessons that we wanted which was twenty. The last three weeks we have hit 17 lessons, so we wanted to push ourselves even more. I was actually surprised because we didn't see as many recent converts or less actives as we normally see each week.

Love, Elder Leavitt

Re: Hello there Elder Leavitt!!‏ -April 27, 2015

Hey mom, no worries, I got the package on Tuesday morning! Not sure why it toke so long to get here, but at least I got it. Thanks! I don't think that candy is going to last to long because I have been sharing it with everyone. If I wasn't, I would still have most of it left when I get home. My address is 13510 N 42nd Street, Tampa FL, 33613.

So I got another bike stolen from me again just last night from the church. Some studied guy cut my lock on my bike from the bike rack outside the church. I hope he enjoys it and puts it to good use. I am using a bike of a missionary that went home early, but the mission is going to be sending it home to him in two weeks. I am going to see if I can use a members bike, or get a cheap bike and resale it when I leave. I am going to be some money into a decent lock this week though that I can use after my mission. Hopefully, unless someone else decides to cut it.

I can't believe that the Gates Girls are home already! Has it really been that long?  I'm glad that things have been able to slow down a bit at work, and now that the school year is wrapping up, things should start to relax more hopefully. I love hearing about the you and dad going to the gym together and working out. It's hard to imagine dad doing that. Unbroken sounds like a really good movie. I think that Lexie is keeping a track of all the movies I need to watch, so you can tell her to add it to the list. :) It sounds like Kiera had a pretty good time with her sr. ball date with Connor. I'm glad that she was able to enjoy it! I also got all of the pics of Elder Paddock. Thanks, I will have to read through them later.

I love you bunches, and I am so grateful for all that you do. You are the best! Really though! You are!.

Love, Elder Leavitt

Re: Listen & hustle! box out! defense! shoot!‏ - April 20, 2015

I haven't gotten the box yet, but hopefully it will be here today. I will check when I get to the church in a few hours. Thanks!  I'm excited to see what it is!!!

I'm glad that Lexie and Lainee were able to have a fun trip down to Arizona with G&G Erdmann. That would be such a blast!

Sounds like a fun challenge, and a good excuse to go and use the gym for free. That's awesoem that you got family and friends involved. It's funny that wedesnday was the day you weighed yourself on, becuase I found a weight scale at Publix, and it said that I weighed 170. I haven't changed too much, but I want to add more muscle weight if I can.

That's alright with things not changing too much. It's just the family life, and I can't wait to be back in it! The kickboxing class sounds like it was pretty brutal. You'll have to teach me how to kickbox later! :)

That is pretty cool that Lexie is doing so well in Basketball and having a good time with it. I'm glad that she is gettig some good experience in and learning some great skills

It's still hard to believe that Megan is married. Next time you see her you should tell her to write me back. I have sent her several emails but she hasn't responded to any of them. :P Still love her though.

I can see Lainee learning that evil villian laugh from you! haha :D Just kidding! That is one of the requirements for my spouse, is that they have to like you and dad and my sisters, and that you'll have to approve of them as well! I too, am really nervous about marriage and what is going to happen next. I know that as I put God first in my life, that I will be blessed and provided for. I am only going to marry in the temple, and no where else. I see the consquences of marrying out side of the temple to someone that isn't a member. There is a small chance that they might become a member later on, but it is way to important to sacrifrice an eternal family by not making those sacred covenants.

I'll be okay with just the free one. I can find people on my own to go and have adventures with and have a good time for cheaper than that.  It does sound like fun though. It would be a blast to find some outside activited like that to do! I'll have to send in an application for a job though, because I am going to need some money!

If there is anything that I need to do personally for school. I can get permission from President Cusick to work on it. Let me know and write out the steps if that is what I need to do. Thanks.

Love you so much! Thanks for all that you do for me!

Love, your son,
Elder Leavitt

Diligence Pays Off‏ - April 20, 2015

Dear Family and friends!
Monday: It was pretty much an easy going and lazy p-day. We didn't do anything exciting and just rested for a bit. We had another FHE evening with the Perez family. There sure are great to hang around with, and we showed them the Easter Video, He Lives, and they loved it a ton. If you still haven't gotten a chance to watch it, go to HeLives.Mormon.org and share it with your friends! If you also want a fun challenge, there is a member here that is just super cool, and I love him and his family so much. He is in three different videos: "Men's Hearts shall fail them", "Bible Videos Introduction", and "Moments that Matter Most"! See if you can spot him, it's easier in the last two. To give you a hint, he's the one that gets hit in the face with a pillow. His name is Brother Ibiam, and he is just such an amazing guy.

Tuesday: We had a combined Zone Training Meeting in the morning, and most of it was on diligence. It was really good for me as I want to strive to be more effective and efficient with the time that I have here. It was good to recommit myself again to doing the Lord's work, and I am excited to see what happens. We did have two really great lessons with Caitlyn and William. We went to Panera Bread to met with Caitlyn and two other YSA Members. It was just a kind of get to know her lesson, since we hadn't taught her anything yet because she was working with Sisters before they got transferred. She is really sweet, and I am excited to help her to learn and grow even more in faith in Jesus Christ and in His Gospel. We then biked down to go and have our lesson with William, and there was a great big storm coming. We got hit a little bit by the rain, but we could tell that we could possibly out run the storm and get far enough south that it would avoid us. We did out race the storm. There was one lightning strike that was way too close for comfort, so we hightailed it into a Subway and waited for about 20-30 minutes before going to the park with William. There, we taught him the Restoration and he had some really great questions for us about it. His questions are really sincere, and I am looking forward to continuing to meet with him.
Wednesday: We had another lessons with Caitlyn today about baptism and confirmation, and about recognizing the Holy Ghost. It was such a great lesson and it was amazing to hear everyone's experience where they have recognized the Spirit and acted upon them. Caitlyn also had a surprise for us! She had read all of 1 Nephi in one day yesterday, and she loved it all. Especially about the vision of the tree of life that Lehi saw. I am so blessed to be able to meet with Caitlyn, because she is so well prepared, and loves to learn more! We then finished off the evening by visiting with two less active families. With the first family, we were able to help them start reading from the Book of Mormon again, and talked about the importance of reading from it each day. As we were talking about Lehi and his family having to leave all of their possessions behind and everything that they knew, this family could easily relate because they have done it three times in the past. It's been very difficult for them, but they can see how much more that Christ means to them because of the trials that they have gone through.
Thursday: I can't tell you how amazing that the Spirit is! I just love having his presence around so much, and it is so great to see how he is able to effect so many people's lives each day. We stayed super busy today with having six lessons spread throughout the day. We had another lesson with Caitlyn, and we talked about our commitment that we had left with her yesterday, which was to go home and pray about a date that she can be baptized on. We told her that we would do the same thing. As we were each talking about how we came to that answer, we all came to the same conclusion that May 17 would be the day for her. I'm so excited for her and I can't wait until she is able to make these sacred covenants with the Lord.
Friday:  Today we went and visited with two amazing recent converts. They have such strong testimonies of the Gospel, and have the strongest desire to share it with everyone. Sharlene was telling us of how all of her prayers were answered this past week. From getting the car fixed, to finding a job, and so many other amazing experiences. I love the way that she describes the Holy Ghost as a flutter feeling in her heart. She has recgonized that as she acts upon those feelings, that it will be nothing but good that comes from it.

Saturday: This morning there was a baptism for three young boys. The spirit was so strong during the service, and it was amazing to see the happiness that this family has as they come closer to the Savior! We also went and had some bratwursts with a member and his friends at a park. It was a lot of fun, and really good food.
Sunday: The best part about today was seeing a recent convert in tears! At first, I was super worried that something was wrong, but as I got talking with her, she was just so overwhelmed with how much love that members have shown to her. She has always given to others, but never really focused on herself. It truly was amazing to see how much that everyone loves her, and to see the amount of love that she has for the Gospel. She has seen so many great miracles that have come to her since she was baptized about a month ago. She sees the change in her life, and wants everyone else to have the same joy that she has. It has helped me so much to see how grateful that I am for the Gospel. There are so many people out there that want this same blessings and joy in their lives, but their just not sure where to find it. It just makes me want to open my mouth even more to everyone that I meet, just like this recent convert does. She is such and inspiration to follow.

Love, Elder Leavitt.

Re: Pageant Time!‏ - April 20, 2015

Hey Mom, sorry that I didn't get much time to write last week. It is so great to here about the amazing week that you all had. I am super excited for Kiera to be part of the Santa Clara Royalty this year. She deserves it because of how talented that she is. I can't wait to hear about all of the fun activites that she is going to be able to take part in. I know that she is going to love it. It also sounds like she did such a great job, and I wish that I could have been there for it.

Just a quick question. No rush on getting it here, but whenever you send another packaged, do you think that you can put my New Balance Vibram running shoes in with it. I am going to see if I can start running some more. I looked for some shoes at a few stores out here, but they really don't have a single thing in them that I am looking for. I'm just going to wait until I get home to get a decent pair of running shoes.

Man, I can't believe that Lainee is graduating from Elementary school already. That's crazy. And Lexie will be in the middle school too. And Kiera is a Senior. What's going on here? They've grown up so fast! I do remember leaving behind Santa Clara and going to Lava Ridge. Maybe not to the extent that you do though. :)

That is so exciting that Felicity was baptized and that Lexie and Lainee were able to go to it!

Did you get video of Kiera's performance so that I can watch it when I get back. That would be so cool to see if you did. I am so excited for her, and she looked so cute in the red dress of her's. The picture of her and dad was a bit blurry, but I still loved it! That means so much to me that she admires me so much. I need to make sure that I will always be that great example for my sisters to follow, and I want to be there every moment for them. I am also so glad that she has such a great group of friends that she is in. They have all grown up a lot in the picture that you sent. Especially Jed, I almost didn't recognize him.

Thank you so much for updating me on Britton and the rest of the Shipp family. It is so great to hear how well he is doing, and how strong the spirit is in their home and in the community because of them. I will also keep Colten Millett in my prayers that things well look up for him too.

You told me to watch for a special package? Was that the Easter one, or something else? I haven't gotten anything else yet this past week. I'm not getting trunky, although Elder White is probably more trunkier than I am because he is counting down my days for me. He just had a companion that died off, (Mission terms for going home) right before I got put with him, and he is still a bit trunky from that. Things have gotten a little bit better for us these last two weeks and we have tried to stay super busy. Thanks for getting me signed up for school and classes too. You don't know how much that means to me. I really do appreciate everything that you do for me, and I'm sorry if it adds any stress to you. I don't want to be a burden on anyone.

I love you tons! You're the bestest mom ever!!! :D

Watch for a special package coming your way! Even though you are registered for orientation and I will get classes in this week at SUU, don't you get trunky! You need every single moment of every day to do the best that God needs you to do out there! Enjoy this time with your cool companion and show him how to work your guts out! As Jesse Shipp said today "Listen & Hustle! That's what you do in everything in life! That will get you farther than anything! Listen to the Lord and Hustle to get it done!!!"

Love you tons and bunches!
