June 10, 2014- Elder Clark Zone Conference‏

Dear Family and Friends,

This week hasn't been to good lesson wise, but it has been a great
spiritual week the miracles that we saw. Not too much happened last
Monday.  On Tuesday we went and did some service in the morning by
helping a family move into their home.  In the evening we didn't have
anything planned out besides drop byes.  We were biking up north when
we got a call from Sister Hill who wanted help moving her tv.  She
farther south than where we were at. We debated on if we should go or
not and decided to bike down there to help her out.  On our way biking
down there we passed a guy who was talking on the phone.  A lot of the
time we don't interrupt people when they are talking, but today I felt
that I need to.  I stopped and just asked him if I could give him a
card.  He hung up the phone on his friend whom he was talking to and
starting getting all emotional.  His name is Jansen and he told us
that he has been clean from drugs for four years now, and that he has
been trying to change his life around now.  He said that this is a
sign from God that we ran into him.  He proceeded to tell us that one
of his good I friends had just died that day, so I gave him a Plan Of
Salvation pamphlet and he told us that he would give us a call in 45
min when he got home.  We never did get that call that night but were
able to talk to him a few days later.  He wants us to come by and meet
with him and his girlfriend.  We wer supposed that evening but he told
us that he had to babysit and would have to try again another day.  I
am really looking forward to when I do get to visit with him and his
girlfriend.

On Wednesday we did a lot of walking around a finding, but we didn't
have too much luck with talking with that many people.

Thursday wasn't the most productive day either.  We had to make two
trips down to Sarasota which pretty much toke up the entire day.  The
first trip was for interviews with President Cusick and they went
pretty well.  President Cusick is an awesome guy and I am so glad that
I can have such a great mission president.  We then has to take the
Bradenton Elder back home, then go back down to Sarasota again for my
dentist appointment.  Dr. Leavitt takes great care of Elder Ronfeldt
and I.  He did get the permanent crown put on and everything is all
good now since I had that chip on my tooth.  Just one more visit with
him so that he can check on it and do a cleaning for bother Elder
Ronfeldt and I.

We had two great lessons on Friday, and Saturday we did some more
service.  We ended up painting a trailer house that a member was
moving into.    For ward correlation, Sister Upshaw and I decided to
have it at Menchies since it was our 10 month birthday.

The reason that I am emailing today is because we had zone conference
with Elder Clark.  So our preparation day was moved to today.  I
really enjoyed listening to Elder Clark.  We talked about ways that we
can become exceptional missionaries and how we can be the example for
others.  Elder Clark has a great sense of humor and was making jokes
throughout the meeting.  He also talked about how we can be the
answers to peoples prayers.  I really enjoyed meeting with him.  For
our FHE we went and visited with the Innes'.  They are super fun to be
around and I love them tons.  We just talked and played games with
them for the evening.

I hope and pray that everything is going well for all of you.

Loves,
Elder Leavitt
